Blogging Prompts

For the next three weeks you will be asked to sign on to your blog site and respond to the following questions. You will also be asked to reply to at least one other classmate's blog. Click here to find your blog. Please contact me if you have any problems signing on or if you cannot remember your password.
  1. Week One: Next week we will begin to research Scieszka websites to learn more about his life and work, after reading the book and viewing the video, what would you like to know about him? Or please respond to the book’s use of the wolf’s point of view and/or make a connection to another book you have read with a similar twist on point of view.
  2. Week Two: What have you found most remarkable about Scieszka’s life or writing? Why do you feel he was appointed the first ever, National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature? Is there an author that you know of that would be worthy of that award? Why?
  3. Week Three: After reading Science Verse were you surprised that Jon Scieszka was a poet also? Why or why not? Is there a favorite genre of literature that you enjoy reading? Or writing about? Why?

Now that you are comfortable with blogging and have begun to read your self-selected book, you are expected to respond to your reading or the class activities on your blog. At the same time, you are expected to reply to at least one of your classmate's blogs. PLEASE: state the title and author of the book you are reading at the beginning of your blog entry.
